Volunteer Opportunities
Not everyone needs to put on scuba gear to help restore kelp forests.
The Caspar Cove Project is powered by volunteers with many different talents and interests. Whether you're an experienced diver, photographer, educator, organizer, or simply someone who loves the ocean, there is a place for you here.
Everyone Can Make a Difference
The Caspar Cove Project is built on a simple idea:
Ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they come together around a shared purpose.
Every season, volunteers from all walks of life help restore Northern California's underwater forests. Some are experienced scuba divers. Others are photographers, educators, students, scientists, families, or simply people who care deeply about the ocean.
What unites us isn't our background—it's our willingness to show up.
Whether you're removing purple sea urchins beneath the surface, welcoming visitors at the Kelp Desk, helping organize community events, capturing stories through photography, or lending your professional skills behind the scenes, your contribution makes a difference.
Restoring kelp forests isn't just about what happens underwater.
It's about building a community of people who believe that small, consistent acts of stewardship can create lasting change.
However you'd like to get involved, we'd love to welcome you into the Caspar Cove community.
