Host a Community Dive
Every movement begins with someone willing to take the first step.
The Caspar Cove Project has grown because volunteers have continually raised their hands to help—welcoming new divers, sharing their knowledge, organizing events, and creating a community where everyone feels they belong.
As our restoration efforts continue to expand, we're looking toward the future by building a network of Community Dive Hosts who can help bring more people into the water and grow the impact of our work.
Help Grow the Movement
Today, our community gathers on the last Saturday of each month during the dive season. These monthly dives have become the heart of the project, bringing together volunteers from across California to restore our underwater forests while building a strong and welcoming community.
As the project continues to grow, so does our vision.
In the future, we'd like to expand beyond one community dive each month by empowering experienced volunteers to host additional dive days throughout the season. More dives mean more opportunities for people to participate, more purple sea urchins removed, and more space for bull kelp to recover.
Hosting a Community Dive isn't about being an expert - it's about creating a welcoming experience for others.
