Bringing the Ocean to Shore

Not everyone enters the water—but everyone can help tell the story.

The Kelp Desk is our shoreline education station where volunteers welcome visitors, answer questions, share information about kelp forests, and introduce people to the Caspar Cove Project.

Volunteers help:

  • Welcome community members

  • Explain kelp restoration

  • Share volunteer opportunities

  • Answer questions about purple urchin removal

  • Help visitors sign up for our newsletter

  • Inspire the next generation of ocean stewards

The Kelp Desk plays an important role in connecting people with the work happening just beneath the surface.

If you enjoy talking with people and sharing your passion for the ocean, we'd love to have you join us.
