Bringing the Ocean to Shore

Every dive begins on the shore.

While divers enter the water to help restore the kelp forest, the Kelp Desk serves as the welcoming heart of the Caspar Cove Project—where curiosity becomes understanding and visitors become part of the community.

Located near our Community Dive gatherings, the Kelp Desk is a place where volunteers greet guests, answer questions, share the story of Northern California's disappearing kelp forests, and introduce people to the restoration work taking place just beneath the surface.

Whether someone is a lifelong diver, a local resident, or simply passing by the beach, the Kelp Desk creates an opportunity to connect with the ocean in a meaningful way.

It's where we educate.

It's where we invite people to become part of the solution.

Because restoring kelp forests isn't just about what happens underwater—it also happens through conversations, shared stories, and moments of connection that inspire people to care.
