North Coast KelpFest 2026

  • North Coast Kelp Fest Mendocino & Fort Bragg, California (map)

Join coastal communities, scientists, artists, filmmakers, chefs, divers, and ocean advocates for North Coast KelpFest 2026 - a four-day celebration of California's remarkable kelp forests and the people working to protect and restore them.

This multi-day celebration brings together art, science, food, and film to explore the beauty, importance, and future of our kelp forests. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with scientists, artists, ocean advocates, local community members, and others who care deeply about the health of the North Coast.

The festival will feature:

🌿 Kelp restoration and marine science presentations
🎬 Film screenings and filmmaker discussions
🎨 Art exhibitions and creative experiences
🍽️ Kelp-inspired culinary events and tastings
🤿 Community ocean stewardship and conservation activities
🤝 Opportunities to connect with researchers, nonprofits, tribes, divers, and community leaders

And we’re excited to share that the Caspar Cove Project team, in partnership with our friends at Ledges Ocean Sports, will be hosting a Community Dive at Caspar Cove as part of the weekend:
